Mexican television host Galilea Montijo underwent a Botox injection procedure during a live broadcast, sparking significant reaction on social media. During the segment, Montijo joked about her mouth appearing crooked as the specialist administered the treatment.

The attending specialist explained that botulinum toxin serves functions beyond aesthetics, such as relaxing muscles to improve circulation and treating conditions like migraines. The specialist noted that the treatment can also be applied to the neck, hands, feet, and armpits, with effects typically appearing within four to six days.

Montijo has previously faced public scrutiny regarding changes to her facial appearance following a prior surgery intended to lift her eyebrows and improve her neck contour. While some social media users criticized the live procedure and the trend of cosmetic enhancements, Montijo has maintained an open stance regarding her support for cosmetic surgeries and treatments.
