Galinha Pintadinha 20th‑Anniversary Film Set for October 2026 Release

Brazil’s beloved children’s character Galinha Pintadinha is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a first feature‑length film. The 3D animated movie, directed by creators Marcos Luporini and Juliano Prado, is scheduled to premiere on 1 October 2026 and will be distributed nationally by Imagem Filmes.

The story follows the mother hen, awaiting her first chick with Galo Carijó, whose plans are upended by an accident that separates mothers and their young. Determined to reunite with the lost Pintinho Amarelinho, she embarks on a journey through mysterious territories, confronting old fears and highlighting themes of love, care and empathy across generations.
