Gallarate approves support fund for family caregivers
The municipal government of Gallarate has approved the criteria for a 48,000 euro fund intended to support families providing home care for people with disabilities. Scheduled for 2026, the initiative will provide a one-time contribution of 600 euros to 80 beneficiaries.
The distribution of funds is divided into 30 grants for families with minors, based on ISEE economic criteria, and 50 grants for adults and the elderly, with residency in Gallarate being a key factor. Welfare Councilor Chiara Allai stated the measure aims to recognize the emotional and organizational burden placed on family caregivers.
