Gallarate hospital: Two nurses injured in emergency room brawl

Two nurses were injured during a violent brawl at the Gallarate emergency room in Varese during the early hours of August 14. The incident involved three patients, consisting of two men and one woman, who arrived at the hospital in a state of severe intoxication.

The conflict began in the hospital corridor before the individuals reached the waiting area. The altercation escalated into a physical fight involving insults and spitting. When two nurses intervened to de-escalate the situation and separate the combatants, they were both struck. One nurse sustained a head trauma and an elbow injury with a seven-day prognosis, while the second nurse suffered contusions to her legs with a two-day prognosis.

Carabinieri arrived at the scene to restore order and contain the individuals involved. One woman involved in the fight reportedly continued to provoke those present even after law enforcement arrived. The incident is currently under investigation by the Prosecutor's Office.
