Gallarate: Two minors arrested after robbery near railway station

Two minors, aged 14 and 17, have been arrested by Carabinieri following a robbery in Gallarate. The incident occurred in Piazza Giovanni XXIII, near the railway station, where the youths targeted a 75-year-old pensioner.

The suspects reportedly snatched a bag containing cigarettes from the man, causing him to fall to the ground. Fortunately, the victim did not sustain any injuries. The stolen items were recovered and returned to the pensioner.

Authorities are currently searching for a third accomplice who fled the scene. Investigators are reviewing municipal surveillance footage from the station area to assist in the ongoing investigation. The two arrested individuals have been placed at the disposal of the juvenile judicial authority and transferred to the Cesare Beccaria reception center in Milan.
