Galleria 291 Est/Inc. celebrates 20 years in Rome

Galleria 291 Est/Inc., an independent experimental space in Rome, is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the exhibition ‘CapitoloVenti’. The project serves as an open archive, tracing the gallery's history through the various artists, curators, and collaborators it has hosted since its founding in 2006.

Founded by Vania Caruso, the gallery was established to support cultural activities in Rome's San Lorenzo district and contribute to its development as an artistic hub. The gallery's early work included the ‘iSan Lorenzo’ editorial project, a free guide designed to connect local artisans and artists, eventually leading to the creation of the ‘Made in San Lorenzo’ cultural association.
