Gallura establishes new provincial education observatory

The Gallura Nord Est Sardegna Province has established a provincial school observatory, the first of its kind in Sardinia. The body is composed of representatives from across the education sector and aims to map the needs of high schools in the Gallura region to implement targeted policies.

According to Province President Settimo Nizzi, the observatory intends to create a connection between high schools, local universities, and regional businesses to combat school dropout rates and encourage students to pursue post-diploma studies. Giampiero Buttu, a representative for UniOlbia, emphasized the importance of promoting local university paths to help young people remain in Sardinia.
