Loan disappearance case: Defense requests Fernando Burlando testify

In the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of the child known as Loan, defense attorney Rodolfo Baqué has requested that the Federal Court of Corrientes summon lawyer Fernando Burlando to testify.

Baqué, representing Elizabeth Cutaia—one of the individuals accused of obstructing the investigation—made the request following testimony from Sergeant Orlando Ezequiel Cáceres. Cáceres stated that Federal Judge Cristina Pozzer Penzo had recommended he seek legal counsel. The sergeant noted that during a visit, Cutaia directed him to meet with Burlando, who was serving as the complainant's attorney for Loan's family at the time.

The defense seeks to clarify whether Cutaia was attempting to obstruct the investigation or if she was simply advising the officer to seek professional legal assistance. Other witnesses, including journalists and camera operators, have also appeared in court as the judicial process continues regarding the events of June 13, 2024.
