Galp acquires 15 Spanish wind farms from Acciona for about €420‑€432 million

Acciona Energía has sold a portfolio of 15 on‑shore wind farms in Spain, totalling 361 MW of capacity, to the renewable division of Portuguese energy group Galp. The transaction, valued at an enterprise price of €420‑€432 million and free of debt, includes assets in Navarra, Zaragoza, Ciudad Real, Palencia, Guadalajara and Sevilla. Advisors were BNP Paribas and Baker McKenzie.

The sale is part of Acciona’s selective asset‑rotation strategy and is expected to generate a profit of roughly €255 million. With the acquisition, Galp’s installed renewable capacity rises to 2.7 GW, allowing it to produce around 5 TWh of electricity annually, of which wind accounts for about 30 percent.
