Galp and Santiago do Cacém sign 115,000 euro support protocol

The Municipality of Santiago do Cacém and Galp have signed a protocol worth 115,000 euros to support 28 local associations. The funding targets entities operating in cultural, sporting, social, and environmental sectors.

The initiative aims to foster social, educational, scientific, and cultural development within the communities where Galp operates. During the official ceremony, Santiago do Cacém Mayor Bruno Gonçalves Pereira emphasized the importance of local partnerships and the vital role associations play in the municipality.

Galp's Refining Director, Cristina Cachola, noted that the agreement reflects the company's 48-year history in the region and its deep connection to the local community. The selection of beneficiary groups and the total amount of support are determined annually by Galp through its internal budgeting and regulation processes.
