Galvão Bueno considers narrating the 2030 World Cup
Brazilian sports commentator Galvão Bueno has expressed interest in narrating the 2030 FIFA World Cup, provided he remains in good physical condition. During an appearance on the program ‘The Noite com Danilo Gentili’, the 76-year-old journalist noted that if he is ‘inteiro’ (fit/whole), he intends to take on the role.
Bueno, who has already covered 14 World Cups and 11 Olympic Games, would be marking his 15th World Cup coverage if he participates in the 2030 tournament at age 80. He also reaffirmed his commitment to the SBT network, citing his satisfaction with the work environment and the recent success of the broadcaster's coverage.
Reflecting on his career, Bueno highlighted several milestone moments, including Brazil's fourth World Cup title, Ayrton Senna's first championship in 1988, and Brazil's first historic Olympic gold medal in a women's event.
