Gambia signs contract with InTouch to monitor online gaming payments
The Gambian Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs has signed a ten-year contract with InTouch Solutions Gambia to implement a centralized platform for tracking payments from betting, gaming, and forecasting companies. This public-private partnership follows a Build, Operate, and Transfer model.
The initiative aims to assist the Gambia Revenue Authority in reconciling registered business activities with declared tax obligations. By addressing the challenges of fragmented payment systems and manual procedures, the platform is intended to improve fiscal surveillance, tax compliance, and revenue administration.
The project is part of a broader national effort to modernize public revenue collection, aligning with the 2023-2027 national development plan. This follows other digitalization efforts in the country, such as the deployment of ASYCUDA World for customs and the GovPay platform for public service payments.
