Game Fest Minas 2026 canceled due to lack of funding

The organizers of Game Fest Minas have announced the cancellation of the 2026 edition of the event. Despite three years of planning and negotiations with industry partners, the organization failed to secure the necessary financial resources to make the event viable.

The project, which aimed to unite technology, gaming culture, and esports in Minas Gerais, relied on a combination of ticket sales, partnerships, and significant sponsorship. Organizers noted that ticket sales alone would not cover operational costs. Although the event had been previously postponed to allow more time for sponsorship negotiations, the required financial and structural conditions could not be met.

Individuals who have already purchased tickets for the event can request refunds via the organization's support email.
