Game Freak director apologizes for Beast of Reincarnation issues
Kota Furushima, the director of Beast of Reincarnation, has issued a public apology to players following a mixed reception for Game Freak’s latest title. While the post-apocalyptic action RPG saw promising commercial starts, including over 15,000 concurrent players on Steam, it has faced significant criticism regarding technical performance and gameplay issues.
In an interview with 4Gamer, Furushima acknowledged the shortcomings, stating, “I honestly feel there are still areas in the game that require our sincere attention. I am truly sorry that parts of the game did not provide an adequately enjoyable experience.”
Despite the technical hurdles, the director expressed confidence in the game’s core combat mechanics and atmosphere, particularly the teamwork system between the protagonist and her companion. The studio has already begun releasing updates, such as version 1.0.7, to address camera issues and combat timing, with further fine-tuning expected in the coming months.
