Game Freak leaks suggest Pokémon Generation 11 target for 2030

Leaked information regarding Game Freak’s development roadmap suggests that the next numbered Pokémon series, Generation 11, is targeted for a 2030 release. The reports, attributed to leaks such as Centro Leaks, indicate that early prototyping for Generation 11 reportedly began in 2024, coinciding with the development of Generation 10.

The leaked documents suggest that Game Freak teams may be working across multiple projects simultaneously. Between the upcoming Generation 10 titles, known as Pokémon Winds and Waves—expected in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2—and Generation 11, the roadmap allegedly includes other projects such as Pokémon Legends: Galar and an internal initiative referred to as Project Seed, which may explore a multi-region concept.
