Game Freak releases action RPG Beast of Reincarnation

Game Freak, the developer known for the Pokémon series, has released Beast of Reincarnation, a significant departure into the action RPG genre. Published by Fictions, the title is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Set in a post-apocalyptic Japan in the year 4026, the story follows Emma, a young woman capable of manipulating a biological corruption known as the Pestilence. Accompanied by a wolf-like creature named Koo, Emma must navigate ruins and desolate zones to defeat regional bosses called Nushi and ultimately destroy the Beast of Reincarnation.

The gameplay emphasizes technical combat, drawing comparisons to titles like Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It features a system centered on parries, dodges, and posture management, alongside tactical commands issued to the companion character, Koo, during slowed-down time sequences.
