Game Freak releases Patch 1.0.8 for Beast of Reincarnation

Game Freak has released Patch 1.0.8 for its action RPG, Beast of Reincarnation, to address launch issues and technical concerns. The update, rolling out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, introduces official support for Nvidia DLSS 4/4.5 and AMD FSR 4.0 upscalers.

Technical and gameplay improvements include new camera distance settings (Close, Medium, and Far), adjustments to boss behavior, enemy repositioning, and increased damage and health recovery for Bloom Arts. The patch also addresses accessibility by allowing players to modify subtitle sizes and fixes various bugs.

Following the game's mixed reception, particularly on PC, director Kota Furushima issued an apology to players. He acknowledged that certain aspects of the game still require improvement to ensure a comfortable experience and stated that the studio intends to respond to player feedback. Future updates are expected to include Frame Generation support for PC, an option to skip cinematics, and ultrawide monitor compatibility.
