Game Freak to release final update for Beast of Reincarnation

Game Freak has announced that the action RPG Beast of Reincarnation will receive its final update on October 19, 2026. This marks the conclusion of a high-frequency update cycle intended to improve the game following its mixed reception upon release in August.

Recent improvements in version 1.1.0.1 included new progression options for New Game+ players, such as the ability to skip three zones after the Great Wall Terraces to reach the Capital more quickly. While this feature accelerates gameplay, it does not grant achievements or trophies during a standard playthrough. Other updates addressed technical issues, such as soft locks during cutscenes, and added quality-of-life features like a field-of-view setting and the ability to hide skip prompts.

Technical refinements also focused on performance, specifically by distributing the processing load for generating effects and adjusting collision boundaries and submersion detection. The game remains available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but no further content or expansions are planned.
