Game of Thrones: The Mad King to move to London in 2027

The stage production ‘Game of Thrones: The Mad King’ is set to move to London in 2027 following a sold-out run at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon. The play, written by Duncan Macmillan, is an adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’ series and is set ten years before the events of the first novel.

While specific venue and dates for the London transfer have yet to be announced, speculation suggests the production may move to the Troubadour Greenwich Peninsula Theatre, which is currently under construction. There is also ongoing discussion regarding the possibility of a world tour, including potential dates in the United States.

Co-artistic director Tamara Harvey and executive producer Martin have expressed enthusiasm for expanding the audience reach of the production, which has received positive critical reviews since its debut on August 8.
