Game Science reveals gameplay for Black Myth: Zhong Kui

Game Science has released a 15-minute gameplay trailer for Black Myth: Zhong Kui, the follow-up project to the commercially successful Black Myth: Wukong. The footage provides an initial look at combat mechanics, story elements, and the game's visual direction.

The gameplay showcases an action RPG combat system focused on reflexes, including attacking, dodging, and parrying. A notable new mechanic is the ability to summon small demons to assist the player, with the option to take control of these creatures to change combat styles and skill sets. The footage also features a character appearing as a white-robed Taoist using a sword and Taoist magic.

As the game is currently in early development, Game Science noted that the footage was captured from a work-in-progress build. The studio cautioned that final features, content, and visual elements may differ from this demonstration.
