Games Workshop's Warhammer World US Attraction Delayed
Games Workshop, the UK maker of Warhammer tabletop games, said its planned Warhammer World visitor centre in Washington, DC is "running slightly behind agreed milestones". The US venue, billed as the flagship attraction for fans, was originally slated to open in the summer of 2027.
Chief Executive Kevin Rountree expects the schedule to be recovered during 2026‑27 and confirmed the company will invest about £8 million in the US site and a new warehouse in Sawley over the next year. The original Warhammer World in Nottingham continues to operate, offering exhibition space, gaming areas and retail services for hobbyists.
The delay does not alter the broader strategy to expand the brand internationally, but it pushes back the timeline for the American fan destination.
