Gamescom 2024: New Game Announcements and Fundraiser Livestream

DayOne, an independent gaming media outlet, is hosting a 12‑hour livestream fundraiser to cover travel and accommodation costs for its team to attend Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, from August 26‑30. The stream will feature challenges in titles such as Halo and Gears of War, and will give away video games to viewers as financial milestones are reached. Viewers can support via Streamlabs tips or by becoming a $3.99‑per‑month DayOne member.

At the same expo, NC (NCSoft) is set to reveal new titles, including the MMORPG Aion 2, the upcoming shooter Cinder City, and a previously unannounced project called “Project Bonfire.” The company will debut a trailer for Project Bonfire during Opening Night Live and has opened pre‑alpha playtest sign‑ups for Cinder City. Aion 2 is slated for an Early Access launch on September 30.
