Gamescom Award 2026 video game awards Total War: Warhammer 40,000 The Witcher 3 gaming industry

The winners of the 2026 Gamescom Awards have been announced following the conclusion of the major gaming event. The awards, determined by a combination of a professional jury and the attending audience, spanned 19 different categories.

Sega and CD Projekt Red were the most successful publishers of the evening, each securing three awards. Sega received honors for Total War: Warhammer 40,000 as the ‘Best PC Game’, Alien: Isolation 2 for ‘Best Audio’, and a Jury Award for the best overall lineup. CD Projekt Red earned awards for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and its Songs of the Past DLC, winning for ‘Best Trailer’, ‘Best Merchandise’, and ‘Best Booth’.

Other notable winners include Capcom, which took home two awards for Onimusha: Way of the Sword (‘Best Gameplay’ and ‘Best Sony PlayStation Game’), and Ubisoft, which won for Rayman Legends Retold (‘Best Nintendo Switch 2 Game’) and received the Jury Award for ‘Best Business Booth’. Additional category winners included Metro 2039 for ‘Best Visuals’ and Forza Horizon 6 for ‘Best Microsoft Xbox Game’.
