Gamescom 2026 in Cologne opens ticket sales and launches IGN‑run Indie Show

The Gamescom trade fair returns to Cologne from 26 to 30 August 2026. Ticket sales for the event have begun, and the organizers have published a continuously updated list of exhibitors, including major publishers such as Bandai Namco, Capcom, Ubisoft, Nintendo and XBOX, as well as numerous indie studios.

For the first time, media company IGN will produce the Gamescom Awesome Indie Show, a 60‑ to 75‑minute live program that will feature indie game trailers, gameplay demos, premieres and developer interviews. The show is scheduled for Thursday, 27 August 2026, and will be livestreamed worldwide. Indie developers can apply for editorial or sponsored slots, with a final submission deadline of 2 August 2026 (materials due by 19 July). Gamescom director Tim Endres and Game Association head Stefan Heikhaus praised the partnership as a boost for the indie community.
