Gamescom 2026 sells out as GamingUp Showcase prepares for August debut

The 2026 gaming industry season features major upcoming events in Germany. The GamingUp Showcase is scheduled to premiere on August 23, 2026, at 8:00 PM CEST. This digital presentation will feature over 35 upcoming games from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, including contributions from studios such as Ivy Juice Games, Assemble Entertainment, and astragon Entertainment.

Simultaneously, Gamescom 2026 has reached a milestone by completely selling out its exhibition space for the first time in its history. The event features more than 1,600 exhibitors from 67 countries and includes 47 country pavilions. The Gamescom indie area has also seen significant growth, now hosting over 420 companies. Programming for the week includes Geoff Keighley’s Opening Night Live on August 25 and a city festival in Cologne on August 29 and 30.
