Gaming charts show Pokemon and Elden Ring leading popularity and revenue
The latest gaming industry charts for late August 2026 show significant movement across Japanese reader preferences and Nintendo Switch 2 digital sales.
According to Famitsu’s most wanted games chart, based on reader votes cast between August 5 and August 18, Pokemon Winds / Waves holds the top position with 763 votes. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave has moved into second place, overtaking Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which fell to fifth. Other notable entries in the top five include Persona 6 and Persona 4 Revival.
On the Nintendo Switch 2 eShop revenue charts, Elden Ring maintains its number one position following its official launch. It is followed by Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 in second place. The charts also indicate strong performance from titles such as Mario Kart World and Cyberpunk 2077, while Orbitals and Onimusha: Way of the Sword appear in multiple positions across different editions.
