Gaming companies launch seasonal Halloween updates

Mobile and life-simulation games are introducing seasonal Halloween updates. HAEGIN has announced a ‘Sweet Halloween’ update for its social networking game, Play Together. The event features a dessert café for ghosts and introduces new dessert-themed fish, such as Whipped Cream Octopuses and Mint Starfish, which players can catch to help a pâtissier named Bloody prepare for a party.

Players can earn Ghost Macarons through various missions to craft Halloween items or participate in a ‘Trick or Treat!’ minigame for rewards like costumes and furniture. The update also includes new BT21 digital items, such as Fluffy Monster Costumes and Keyrings.

Separately, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have announced a limited-time Halloween event for Pokémon Pokopia titled ‘Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises’. Running from October 17 to November 1, the event allows players to collect new furniture and encounter specific Pokémon like Pumpkaboo. Players can use Ditto to surprise others and earn Pumpkin Lollies, a special event currency.
