Gaming hardware updates: STORM desktop and MSI laptop releases

New gaming hardware options are entering the market, ranging from high-end custom builds to budget-conscious laptops.

STORM has released the S2P-97X857, a white-themed desktop PC priced at 399,800 yen. The system is designed for WQHD gaming, featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 9700X CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 12GB of GDDR7 memory. To enhance aesthetics, the build utilizes a motherboard and graphics card with rear-connector designs to hide cables, alongside a 240mm liquid cooler with an integrated LCD screen.

In the laptop segment, MSI has introduced the Crosshair 16 HX E14W. This model targets budget-conscious gamers by utilizing an Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU. While it features compromises in memory (16GB) and storage (512GB) to maintain a lower price point, it includes a high-performance 16-inch QHD+ IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate.
