Gaming industry sees major updates and indie releases in September

The gaming industry is seeing significant updates and releases throughout September. PUBG: Battlegrounds has launched Update 43, which introduces a new kick action for unarmed combat, allowing players to damage enemies and smash environmental objects like doors and windows. The update also improves water-based gameplay by increasing swimming and diving speeds by 25 per cent and enhancing boat durability. PC players will also see support for NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 and AMD FSR 4.1.

In the action RPG genre, UNDECEMBER has entered its latest season, titled ‘The Farside’. This update introduces a new roguelike wave-defence mode called Agony Wave, alongside various balance changes and new equipment.

The indie game sector is also seeing a surge of activity. Upcoming releases include a cozy dressmaking crafting game, the dark fairy-tale metroidvania ‘Well Dweller’, and the sequel ‘Graveyard Keeper 2’, a medieval cemetery simulator. Additionally, a new genre-defying RPG featuring rhythm combat is scheduled for release later in the month.
