Gaming industry sees revenue growth projections amid Everplay Group success
Everplay Group, a video game developer based in Wakefield, expects full-year revenues to be “materially ahead of the current market expectations” following strong sales of titles such as Wardogs and Hell Let Loose: Vietnam. The company reported interim revenues of £197.6 million and an adjusted EBITDA of £57.2 million, driven by high demand for its combat and first-person shooter games.
On a broader scale, S&P Global Market Intelligence Kagan projects global game content revenue to grow from $204.4 billion in 2025 to $229.1 billion by 2030. This 2.3% compound annual growth rate is expected to be driven by publishers focusing on monetizing existing audiences through live-service models, subscriptions, and in-game purchases.
The Asia-Pacific region is anticipated to hold the largest market share, while PC gaming is projected to lead platform revenue, reaching $49.23 billion by 2030. Cloud gaming is identified as the fastest-growing segment, with a projected 9.7% compound annual growth rate. However, the industry faces challenges including rising hardware prices, inflation, and high development costs.
