Gaming industry updates: Marvel's Wolverine features, Ghost of Yōtei expansion, and Nautus announcement

Several major video game developments have been announced. Insomniac Games confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine will feature a New Game Plus mode available on day one, allowing players to retain their loadouts and progression. The game is described as a linear, story-driven adventure that includes collectibles like whiskey bottles and material crates, as well as Nightmare Doors for unique trials.

Sony and Sucker Punch Productions announced the Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition. This release includes a new narrative expansion titled Echoes of Sekigahara, a single-player combat survival mode called Most Wanted, and quality of life updates. The expansion will feature flashbacks to the Battle of Sekigahara and new enemies and equipment.

Magic Design Studios, the developer of Have a Nice Death, revealed Nautus, a double-sided exploration game for PC. The title involves managing a customizable submarine to explore mysterious underwater environments. Nautus is targeting a Steam Early Access launch in 2027.

In film news, Marvel incurred $160,000 in fines from the city of San Diego for displaying an Avengers: Doomsday advertisement on the Gaslamp Quarter arch during Comic-Con despite official denials due to safety concerns.
