Gaming industry updates: New releases and free titles
The gaming industry is seeing several notable releases and updates. Aspyr is bringing the Middle-earth series, including Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War, to the Nintendo Switch eShop on September 30 in definitive editions.
In development news, Stellar Blade is implementing AI-driven Frame Generation to target 60 fps on Nintendo Switch 2, with a demo expected around November 5. Konami is also preparing a demo for Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, scheduled for release on October 1, ahead of its October 15 launch. Meanwhile, IO Interactive reports progress on the 007 First Light port, focusing on achieving a stable 30 fps.
On the consumer side, several free gaming opportunities are available. Epic Games is offering Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles and Mechabellum for PC until October 1. Mobile users can claim Cardpocalypse, and Konami is offering classic Castlevania titles for Android and iOS to celebrate the series' 40th anniversary. Additionally, a Lite version of EA SPORTS FC 27 has been released, allowing players to experience various modes for free with progress transferable to the full version.
