Gana Čomagić completes filming of short film “Sote”

Filming for the short thriller-drama “Sote”, directed and written by Gana Čomagić, was completed on September 18. Produced by Evil Ideas, the film is supported by the Film Center of Montenegro and the Secretariat for Culture of Podgorica.

Based on true events, the story follows a 68-year-old woman named Sote in a village where self-interest prevails. The narrative explores themes of injustice and marginalization that push the protagonist to a breaking point. The production features Marta Pićurić in the title role and Goran Bogdan in a leading male role.

Producer Milena Đukić highlighted the importance of the film’s strong female authorship and the collaborative environment of the small production crew. Director of photography Ivan Čojbašić noted the technical challenges of filming night scenes and rain to achieve the film's specific visual style.
