Gandhi Fernando moves to Thailand to pursue directing career

Director Gandhi Fernando has relocated to Thailand to pursue an international career in the Thai entertainment industry. Seeking to step outside his comfort zone, Fernando has transitioned from the Indonesian film industry to work within the Thai production system.

To prepare for this move, Fernando spent approximately four years studying the Thai language. This preparation has enabled him to direct the series ‘Badminton Boys’ for iQIYI, starring Ping Krittanum Aunchananun. Fernando noted that despite his language studies, communicating technical directions to local crews and actors remains a significant professional challenge that contributes to his growth as a director.
