Gandia advances recruitment of new local police officers

The Gandia City Council is advancing its plan to strengthen the Local Police force by conducting selection processes for new officers. A recent psychotechnical test was held for the first phase of the recruitment, which aims to add ten agents through a free-shift system.

This initiative is part of a broader municipal goal to increase the total police staff by up to 22 new agents. Lydia Morant, the Councilor for Protection, Security, and Coexistence, stated that the reinforcements are intended to adapt to the city's current needs, improve citizen attention, and enhance prevention and security in local neighborhoods.

In addition to new recruits, the council has recently bolstered the force's command structure by adding four inspectors and twelve officers. The municipality is also investing in modernizing the police force's material and technological resources.
