Valencia region begins selection for 2027 Fallas festivities

The selection processes for the 2027 Fallas festivities have commenced in the Valencia region. In Gandia, Lidia Marín Marzal has been officially proclaimed Fallera Mayor for 2027. The ceremony, held at the Museu Faller, included the presentation of her official sash and insignia by Mayor José Manuel Prieto, alongside the introduction of her Cort d’Honor.

In Valencia, the selection process for the Fallera Mayor and her Cort d’Honor is also underway. Candidates have begun their first evaluations before a jury at locations including the Silk Museum and the Basilica of the Virgin of the Desamparados. Additionally, candidates for the Fallera Mayor Infantil 2027 participated in an outdoor testing weekend in Calvestra, a traditional component of the selection process that has been held for over twenty years.
