Gandia announces 2026-2027 educational and cultural programming
The city of Gandia has announced its educational and cultural programming for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Universitat Popular de Gandia (UPG) is offering 45 activities, including four-month courses, specialized workshops, and natural heritage excursions. New offerings include genealogy, artistic knotting, and introductions to artificial intelligence, alongside traditional subjects like ballroom dancing and tailoring.
In addition to the UPG program, the local City Council and community entities have prepared approximately 200 activities catering to all ages. These include theater, music, dance, photography, and health and wellness programs. Specific initiatives include the 'Mou-te' physical activity program for adults and the 'Obrim finestres' educational innovation program, which focuses on sustainability, environment, and new technologies for children and youth.
Registration periods vary by program. UPG applications open on September 7, with a public draw for places scheduled for September 18. Other municipal courses will open for registration via the electronic headquarters starting September 15, with specific dates designated for senior citizen workshops and physical activity programs.
