Gandia announces autumn Valencian language cinema program

The Gandia City Council, in collaboration with the Universities of Valencia (UV) and Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), as well as the Mancomunitat de la Safor-Valldigna, has announced the autumn programming for the ‘Cinema en Valencià’ campaign.

Scheduled to take place at the Teatre Serrano, the sessions include adult screenings on Tuesdays and family-oriented sessions on one Sunday per month. Notable titles in the lineup include ‘La verge roja’, ‘Coses petites com aquestes’, and ‘Gladiator II’ for adults, while children's programming features titles such as ‘Mary Anning i la platja dels dinosaures’.

As a new measure for universal accessibility, the screenings will feature Valencian dubbing and subtitling to assist the deaf community. The initiative aims to continue the long-standing effort of normalizing the Valencian language within cultural and leisure activities.
