Gandia approves 2027 budget with 12.4 million in investments
The Gandia City Council has approved the fundamental lines of its 2027 budget, which has been submitted to the Ministry of Finance. The budget forecasts non-financial income of 104.75 million euros and aims to consolidate the city's financial health through strict fiscal rules and reduced current spending.
Key highlights of the proposal include 12.45 million euros allocated for real investments. This investment will not increase municipal debt, as it will be funded through subsidies from other administrations, the sale of municipal assets, and internal efficiency gains.
Additionally, the council plans an early debt repayment of 3.028 million euros. When combined with the mandatory annual repayment of one million euros, the city expects to reduce its total municipal debt by more than four million euros in a single fiscal year. Finance Councilor Salvador Gregori stated that the budget was built with rigor, using prudent income forecasts based on the average collection from 2024 and 2025 to ensure sustainability.
