Gandia establishes IX Children's Council for 2026-2027 term

The IX Children's Council of Gandia has been officially constituted for the 2026-2027 term. This municipal body serves as a platform for local children to present ideas, needs, and proposals to improve their city.

Mayor José Manuel Prieto and Councilor for Children Esther Sapena presided over the session. During the event, Mayor Prieto emphasized that child participation must be real and transparent, noting that while the administration may not be able to implement every proposal, they are committed to explaining the reasoning behind their decisions.

The meeting also included a review of initiatives from the 2025-2026 term, covering topics such as responsible screen use, the creation of a permanent road safety education park, educational Olympics, and enhanced security in school environments.
