Gandia Pensa to host debate on AI ethics and humanities
The Gandia Pensa forum will host a discussion titled ‘Humanities and ethics around artificial intelligence’ on Wednesday, October 14, at the Casa de Cultura Marqués de González de Quirós. The event features writer and physicist Agustín Fernández Mallo alongside María Jesús Espinosa de los Monteros, the general director of PRISA Audio.
The dialogue will be centered on Fernández Mallo’s latest essay, ‘El ángel de la Inteligencia Artificial’, which examines the phenomenon through the lenses of physics, anthropology, metaphysics, and theology. The session aims to explore the cultural, social, and ethical implications of new technologies, specifically how AI is transforming the ways in which culture is created, communicated, and consumed. The discussion seeks to move beyond technological enthusiasm or apocalyptic rhetoric to focus on how algorithms reflect the human condition.
