Gangbuk-gu and Maeil Dairies receive Prime Minister's Commendation

At the 21st Pregnant Women's Day ceremony hosted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Gangbuk-gu and Maeil Dairies were awarded the Prime Minister's Commendation for their contributions to maternal and child health.

Gangbuk-gu was recognized as the only local government to receive the commendation. The district has implemented various policies to create a pregnancy-friendly environment, including operating 33 priority service counters through public-private partnerships, providing specialized seatbelts for pregnant women, and supporting vaccinations for pregnant women and their spouses.

Maeil Dairies received the award for its long-term commitment to supporting families. The company has provided prenatal and childcare education through programs like the 'Absolute Mom School' and is the only manufacturer in South Korea producing special formula for children with congenital metabolic disorders. Additionally, the company maintains family-friendly management practices, such as supporting infertility treatment costs and providing childbirth bonuses for employees.
