Gangbuk-gu holds innovation forum to discuss elementary childcare

Gangbuk-gu has held its second ‘Gangbuk Innovation Forum’ to discuss the establishment of an integrated elementary childcare system. The forum, an internal policy learning program established under the current administration, aims to enhance the expertise of district employees and seek practical policy alternatives through expert lectures and discussions.

During the session, Kim A-remi, an associate professor of social welfare at Seoul Women's University, provided a lecture on childcare policy directions and current issues. Officials from the Education Support Division and Youth Division participated in a Q&A session to explore ways to implement local government-centered childcare solutions.

This follows the inaugural forum held in July, which focused on revitalizing local commercial districts with guidance from Professor Mo Jong-rin of Yonsei University. The district plans to continue the forum series, covering various sectors such as economy, welfare, and education, while sharing all presentation materials and videos with all employees to strengthen organizational policy capabilities.
