Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival concludes in Nonsan

The 30th Ganggyeong Salted Seafood Festival in Nonsan, South Korea, has concluded. The event focused on promoting the excellence of Ganggyeong salted seafood and Sangwol sweet potatoes through various food and experiential programs.

Visitors participated in activities such as making kimchi with salted seafood and preparing sweet potato pizzas, noodles, and strawberry hotteok. The festival also featured the ‘Ganggyeong Port Market,’ which recreated the historical atmosphere of the port that was once one of the three major markets during the Joseon Dynasty.

Due to forecasts of heavy rain and strong winds, the festival schedule was moved forward by one day as a preemptive safety measure. Despite the shortened duration, the event aimed to revitalize the local economy and highlight the region's modern historical culture and natural scenery.
