Ganghwa County launches settlement support program for new residents
Ganghwa County in Incheon has completed its first designated donation collection under the Hometown Love Donation System. The funds will be used to launch ‘Ganghwa Seombit Masil’, a regional exploration program designed to help new residents settle into the community.
The program will run from November 1 to November 26, hosting five sessions for a total of 100 participants. The initiative aims to provide new residents—those who have moved to the county within the last two years—with a better understanding of the local environment, public facilities, and population policies through cultural experiences and tours of border area heritage sites.
In addition to the exploration program, the county is implementing other projects totaling 120 million won, including ferry fare support for seniors and local pop-up activity support for youth. Participants in the exploration program will visit locations such as Gyodong Daeryong Market, Hwagae Garden, and the birthplace of Park Du-seong.
