Ganghwa County to host 9th Byeolbam Yahaeng night tourism festival
Ganghwa County will host the 9th ‘2026 Ganghwa Byeolbam Yahaeng’ (Night Walk) festival from September 4 to 5 at Yongheunggung Park and surrounding areas in the old downtown district. The event is designed to promote night tourism by integrating the region's historical and cultural resources with various entertainment programs.
The festival features a diverse lineup of performances, including a parade by local students, fusion Gugak, and guest performances by artists such as Roy Kim, Shin Ye-young, My Jin, Kim Na-young, and Cheon Rok-dam. Local musical groups, including the Ganghwa Saxophone Club and Drummer Club, will also perform.
Visitors can participate in various hands-on activities, such as making traditional rice cakes, creating Cheongsachorong lanterns, and dyeing Sochang scarves. Special programs at the Anglican Church of Korea Ganghwa Cathedral will include snap photography and astronomical observations. Other offerings include historical walking tours, street magic, food booths, and a flea market featuring local specialties and crafts.
