Gangnam-gu develops AI program for rapid property ownership analysis

Gangnam-gu has developed an in-house AI-powered program designed to analyze property ownership details from certified copies of real estate registers in just one second. Developed by district employees without additional outsourcing costs, the tool automates the complex process of tracking ownership changes, such as those occurring through inheritance or gifts.

The program identifies current ownership status, ownership history by rank, and ownership verification tables while automatically checking if share totals equal 100%. It filters out non-ownership related entries like provisional registrations, seizures, or cancellations. By reducing the time required for manual verification from dozens of minutes to one second, the district aims to transition from sample-based checks to a full inspection of tax registers.

Starting in September, the program will be used to audit property tax registers, focusing on complex cases involving shared ownership or inheritance. From October, the scope is expected to expand to reviewing acquisition tax reports and verifying rights for delinquent tax properties. To ensure data security, all registry data is processed within a closed network to prevent external leaks.
