Gangnam-gu expands digital talent education for local students
Gangnam-gu is expanding its ‘Visiting Digital Future Talent Customized Education’ program starting in September, targeting elementary, middle, and special schools within the district. As part of the ‘Digital Future Talent Project,’ the initiative brings software and artificial intelligence (AI) education directly into classrooms to foster digital literacy and creative thinking.
The program covers 61 schools and provides students with individual educational tools to ensure hands-on experience. Each class is supported by at least one professional instructor and one assistant. Elementary students can choose from six programs, including drones, humanoid robots, and smart farms, delivered over eight sessions. Middle school students have access to eight specialized programs, such as generative AI, autonomous vehicles, and AI IoT, conducted over 16 sessions.
Following a successful first half of the year that reached 5,906 students across 250 classes, the district is increasing the scale for the second half of the year to reach 9,420 students in 377 classes.
