Gangnam-gu to open three new complex cultural centers
Gangnam-gu has completed the construction of three new complex cultural centers in Suseo-dong, Gaepo 3-dong, and Irwon 1-dong. These facilities replace community centers that had been in use for over 30 years and were considered outdated.
The new centers are designed to integrate administrative services with cultural and welfare functions. Each facility includes specialized spaces such as book cafes, meeting rooms, multi-purpose halls, and small libraries to improve the quality of life for local residents.
The opening schedule is as follows:
- Suseo-dong Complex Cultural Center: Opening on September 29. The five-story building includes a community center, book cafe, and a multi-purpose hall. - Gaepo 3-dong Complex Cultural Center: Opening on October 12. This four-story facility features a community center, book cafe, and cultural center. - Irwon 1-dong Complex Cultural Center: Opening on October 30. As the largest of the three, this five-story building houses a community center, meeting rooms, a small library, and a cultural center.
Gangnam-gu Mayor Kim Hyun-ki expressed gratitude to residents for their patience during the transition and stated that the district will continue to expand infrastructure to enhance residents' daily lives.
