Gangster Rakesh seeks security in Ankit Balyan murder probe

Gangster Rakesh, also known as Pammu, has requested heightened security and continuous videography during his transit after being named a potential conspirator in the murder of Haryanvi singer Ankit Balyan.

Currently held as an undertrial in Karnal district jail, Rakesh is facing a production warrant from Shamli police, who intend to interrogate him regarding his alleged role in the August 26 killing. The singer was shot multiple times in Shamli, an incident that has already resulted in the death of two suspects during police encounters and the detention of others.

Citing a previous life-threatening attack in 2017, Rakesh filed a court petition expressing fear for his safety during police custody. He has specifically requested that he be transported using handcuffs and leg irons, and that the entire transit process be recorded on video to prevent any harm or untoward incidents.
